Which companies sponsor visas for strategy roles in Georgia?
Atlanta-headquartered companies are the primary sponsors of strategy roles in Georgia. Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, Cox Enterprises, and NCR Voyix have consistent records of H-1B sponsorship for corporate strategy and business development positions. Management consulting firms with Atlanta offices, including McKinsey, BCG, and Deloitte, also sponsor international professionals for strategy-focused roles in the state.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for strategy professionals in Georgia, as roles in corporate strategy, business development, and management consulting typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates also enter through the L-1A or L-1B if transferring within a multinational employer. O-1 visa petitions are less common but possible for individuals with demonstrated exceptional achievement in their field.
Which cities in Georgia have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the vast majority of strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia. The city's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major consulting firm offices, and a large financial services sector drives consistent demand. Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta are particularly active for corporate strategy and consulting roles. Outside Atlanta, Savannah and Augusta have smaller but growing business communities, though sponsorship opportunities there remain far less common.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated platform for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles in Georgia, including strategy positions. You can filter directly by state and role type to see employers actively sponsoring workers in corporate strategy, business development, and related functions. Reviewing employer H-1B filing histories through the Department of Labor's disclosure data can also help you identify which Georgia companies have sponsored comparable roles previously.
Are there state-specific considerations for strategy professionals seeking sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia does not have state-level work authorization rules that affect federal visa sponsorship, but the local market has some distinct characteristics worth understanding. Atlanta's large university ecosystem, including Georgia Tech and Emory, produces pipelines of international graduates who compete for the same H-1B cap slots. H-1B cap registration occurs annually in March, meaning timing your job search to secure an offer before that window matters for cap-subject candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
