Which companies sponsor visas for strategy roles in Kentucky?
Louisville-based Humana is among the most active sponsors for strategy and corporate planning roles in Kentucky, given its scale in health insurance and population health management. Kindred Healthcare, Ashland Inc., and LG&E and KU Energy also maintain immigration programs that have supported strategy hires. Regional consulting practices and financial services firms in Louisville and Lexington round out the sponsorship pool, though capacity varies significantly by employer size and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the primary visa category for strategy professionals in Kentucky. Strategy analyst, corporate planning, and management consulting roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field. Candidates with exceptional recognition in their field may pursue the O-1A. Australians working in strategy roles have access to the E-3 visa, which follows a similar process to the H-1B but without the lottery.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is by far the dominant market for strategy sponsorship in Kentucky. The city's concentration of Fortune 500 and large regional employers, particularly in healthcare, logistics, and financial services, produces the majority of strategy-related LCA filings in the state. Lexington has a smaller but active market, supported by University of Kentucky-affiliated organizations and manufacturing sector firms. Other Kentucky cities have limited strategy sponsorship activity compared to these two metros.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for strategy roles in Kentucky without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. You can filter by location and role type to focus on Louisville and Lexington, where most Kentucky strategy sponsorship activity is concentrated. Migrate Mate also surfaces employer sponsorship history, which is useful for evaluating whether a company has an active immigration program before applying.
Are there any Kentucky-specific considerations for strategy visa sponsorship?
Kentucky's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B strategy roles are generally lower than coastal markets, which can make it easier for employers to meet Department of Labor wage standards. The state's healthcare sector, anchored by Humana and Kindred, creates recurring demand for strategy analysts with healthcare industry knowledge. University of Kentucky and University of Louisville MBA pipelines also feed into local corporate strategy hiring, meaning employers here are accustomed to evaluating candidates who may need sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
