In a world where industrial cyber-attacks are a top global risk, we are seeking a visionary leader to stand at the forefront of our defense. If you are ready to protect the very core of our innovation and manufacturing power, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on a global scale.
Purpose of the Position
With the growing threat of cyber-attacks on industrial infrastructure, strong leadership in Operational Technology security is more critical than ever. As our Director, you will provide this essential leadership, coordinating across our global enterprise to develop robust security solutions. This role is a unique blend of strategic alignment, execution oversight, and governance facilitation, designed to drive tangible improvements in our security posture and ensure our manufacturing, research, and animal health operations remain safe, secure, and resilient.
Welcome to Our Team
You will join a dedicated team at the forefront of our company's security strategy. We are a dynamic group focused on protecting the foundational technologies that support our global mission. In this highly visible role, you will interact regularly with senior leaders and experts across our Information Technology, Manufacturing, Research, and Animal Health divisions. - Build a Unified Strategy: Collaborate with senior leaders and experts to create a holistic view of all Operational Technology security efforts, identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Influence and Align: Build consensus and drive decision-making in a complex, matrixed environment, often without direct authority.
- Deliver Clear Outcomes: Translate complex technical goals into actionable plans and report progress to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment.
Your Profile
We are looking for a leader who is clear, structured, and relentlessly focused on delivery. You are a natural collaborator who can navigate complex, political environments with confidence.
Your communication is crisp and concise, and you are known for your ability to challenge stakeholders constructively while maintaining strong relationships.
- Critical Must-Haves: You possess strong, foundational knowledge of Operational Technology and essential experience in Operational Technology security. This expertise is the bedrock of your credibility and success in this role.
- Exceptional Leadership: Your greatest strength is your ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders. You have a proven talent for building consensus and driving alignment at the executive level.
- Strategic Communicator: You are an outstanding communicator and presenter, able to convey complex information with clarity and impact to any audience.
- Proven Track Record: You have a history of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering results by empowering others. You are known for your diligent follow-through and commitment to achieving outcomes.
- Diverse Backgrounds Welcome: While pharmaceutical experience is a plus, we are very interested in candidates from other complex, regulated sectors such as energy, critical infrastructure, defense, or utilities.

Search Strategy Jobs in PennsylvaniaStrategy Jobs in Pennsylvania: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for strategy roles in Pennsylvania?
Large employers in Pennsylvania with a history of sponsoring international workers for strategy roles include Comcast, PNC Financial Services, Lincoln Financial Group, Cigna, and UPMC. Management consulting firms with Philadelphia or Pittsburgh offices, such as Deloitte, McKinsey, and Boston Consulting Group, also regularly sponsor candidates for strategy and corporate planning positions through H-1B visa and other work visa categories.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy roles in Pennsylvania, as positions like strategic planner, business development manager, and corporate strategy analyst typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a relevant bachelor's degree or higher. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may also be eligible for TN visas under NAFTA-successor USMCA, and those with extraordinary recognition in their field may explore the O-1A category.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia is by far the largest market for strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, financial services firms, consulting offices, and major health systems. Pittsburgh is the second-strongest market, supported by technology companies, financial institutions like PNC, and a growing healthcare and life sciences sector anchored by UPMC and Carnegie Mellon University's affiliated research enterprises.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters strategy roles in Pennsylvania by visa sponsorship willingness, saving significant time compared to manually reviewing job postings. You can search by role type and state to surface employers actively hiring for strategic planning, corporate strategy, and business development positions who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for international candidates.
Are there any Pennsylvania-specific considerations for strategy job seekers on work visas?
Pennsylvania's strategy hiring is heavily influenced by its healthcare, financial services, and higher education sectors, so candidates with experience in those industries tend to see stronger employer interest. Wharton, Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School, and other top Pennsylvania business schools create active pipelines of international MBA graduates into strategy roles, meaning employers in the state are generally familiar with the sponsorship process for these positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
