Which visa types are most common for animal care & pet services roles in Illinois?
H-1B visas are most common for veterinarians and specialized animal care roles requiring advanced degrees. TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican veterinarians, while O-1 visas may apply to internationally recognized animal researchers or specialists. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored animal care & pet services jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
