Which companies sponsor visas for patient services managers in Illinois?
Northwestern Medicine, Rush University Medical Center, University of Chicago Medicine, Advocate Aurora Health, and Lurie Children's Hospital are among the Illinois employers that have sponsored foreign workers in healthcare administration roles. Large academic medical centers and multi-hospital systems are the most consistent sponsors, as they have dedicated HR and legal infrastructure to manage H-1B visa petitions and related filings.
Which visa types are most common for patient services manager roles in Illinois?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for patient services managers in Illinois, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with qualifying credentials may also explore the TN visa if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals, or the EB-3 immigrant visa pathway if an employer is willing to sponsor permanent residency.
Which cities in Illinois have the most patient services manager sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the majority of patient services manager sponsorship activity in Illinois, driven by its concentration of academic medical centers, large hospital networks, and specialty clinics. Evanston, Oak Park, and Naperville also generate openings through suburban hospital campuses affiliated with major systems. Rockford and Springfield have a smaller but present market, primarily through regional hospital groups serving those metropolitan areas.
How to find patient services manager visa sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse patient services manager openings at Illinois employers who have a documented history of sponsoring international candidates. Searching by state and role on Migrate Mate surfaces positions at hospital systems and healthcare networks in Chicago and across Illinois, saving time compared to manually screening general job listings for sponsorship eligibility.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for patient services managers in Illinois?
Illinois employers must meet the Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements when filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application, and prevailing wages for healthcare administration roles in the Chicago metropolitan area are set at a higher level than in rural parts of the state. Illinois also benefits from a strong pipeline of international healthcare administration graduates from programs at the University of Illinois Chicago and Loyola University, which can create competition for sponsorship-eligible roles at affiliated medical centers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient services manager jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
