Which companies sponsor visas for sales development managers in Illinois?
Large enterprise technology and financial services firms in Illinois have the most documented H-1B sponsorship history for sales development manager roles. Companies including Salesforce, Morningstar, Relativity, and Outcome Health have filed LCAs for sales and business development positions in the Chicago metro area. Mid-sized SaaS companies headquartered in Chicago's River North and West Loop neighborhoods also sponsor regularly, though at lower volumes than enterprise employers.
Which visa types are most common for sales development manager roles in Illinois?
The H-1B is the most common visa for sales development managers in Illinois, provided the role requires a specific bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for TN status under the Management Consultant category. Australian citizens may consider the E-3 visa. Each pathway requires employer sponsorship and a formal job offer before filing.
Which cities in Illinois have the most sales development manager sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of sales development manager sponsorship opportunities in Illinois, particularly in the River North, West Loop, and Streeterville neighborhoods where enterprise technology and financial services firms cluster. Evanston and Schaumburg also have pockets of activity tied to corporate headquarters and regional offices. Outside the Chicago metro area, sponsorship opportunities for this specific role become significantly limited.
How to find sales development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to employers who sponsor visas, so you can search sales development manager roles in Illinois without manually screening out companies that don't sponsor. Given that not all employers advertising this title will consider international candidates, using a platform built around sponsorship eligibility saves significant time. Migrate Mate also lets you filter by state, making Illinois-specific searches straightforward for this role.
Are there any Illinois-specific considerations for sales development manager sponsorship candidates?
Illinois follows federal prevailing wage requirements for H-1B sponsorship, which the Department of Labor sets by occupation and geographic area. Chicago's designation as a major metropolitan area means prevailing wages for sales development managers are benchmarked against a competitive urban market, which employers must meet to file a compliant Labor Condition Application. Illinois also has a well-developed pipeline from universities including Northwestern, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and University of Chicago, which feed talent into Chicago's sales and tech sectors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales development manager jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
