Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for sales development managers?
Milwaukee-based financial technology firms like Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual have histories of sponsoring work visas for experienced sales and business development professionals. Epic Systems in Verona and Kohl's corporate operations also participate in sponsorship for specialized roles. Sponsorship availability varies by role seniority, budget cycle, and whether an employer has an established immigration program with legal counsel on retainer.
Which visa types are most common for sales development manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for sales development managers in Wisconsin when the role requires a specialized degree, typically in business, marketing, or a technical field tied to the employer's product. L-1B visas apply when candidates transfer from an overseas office of the same company. O-1 classification is an option for candidates with documented exceptional achievement in sales leadership.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most sales development manager sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the largest share of sales development manager sponsorship activity in Wisconsin, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and fintech employers. Madison follows closely, anchored by Epic Systems and a growing technology startup community. Green Bay sees demand from manufacturing and supply chain companies. Smaller markets like Waukesha and Brookfield also host regional corporate headquarters with active sales teams.
How to find sales development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for sales development manager roles in Wisconsin without wading through positions that don't support international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface openings at employers with established sponsorship programs. Checking employer H-1B disclosure data through the Department of Labor can also confirm which Wisconsin companies have sponsored similar roles historically.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales development managers pursuing sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not have a state-level visa program, so federal H-1B and other federal visa categories govern all sponsorship. One practical consideration is that sales development manager roles require classification as a specialty occupation under H-1B rules, which depends on the employer demonstrating a degree requirement in a specific field. Employers in Wisconsin's insurance and fintech sectors tend to have existing immigration infrastructure, making them more experienced navigating this classification requirement.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales development manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
