- Recommend cybersecurity best practices, network architecture standards, and security policies for customers deploying LG digital signage solutions.
- Author system and software requirements specifications related to networking, authentication, encryption, security, and compliance for Product Planning and R&D teams.

- Design, implement, and document lab network architectures that accurately emulate customer enterprise environments to support testing, troubleshooting, security validation, and product development initiatives.
- Evaluate and deploy new networking and security technologies within the lab environment to support next-generation LG software and hardware solutions.
- Support customer security reviews, risk assessments, architecture reviews, and vendor security questionnaires.
- Strengthen LG's software business competitiveness through discovery of new technologies, proof-of-concept initiatives, and evaluation of emerging networking and cybersecurity solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, and R&D to develop next-generation secure software solutions that align with evolving industry networking and security standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their business objectives, technical environments, and operational challenges.
- Generate proposals, presentations, technical documentation, and customer-facing materials that effectively communicate LG's networking and security capabilities and value proposition.
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to ensure successful onboarding, deployment, and long-term customer success.
- Perform SWOT analysis of LG commercial display products and cloud SaaS solutions with respect to networking, security, device management, and enterprise integration capabilities.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in networking, cybersecurity, SaaS, OT, and IoT environments.
- Support customer onboarding, product demonstrations, technical training sessions, webinars, trade shows, and industry events.

Which companies in Illinois sponsor visas for technical solutions engineers?
Companies with a documented history of sponsoring technical solutions engineers in Illinois include Motorola Solutions, Salesforce, Publicis Sapient, Relativity, and Uptake Technologies. Large enterprise software vendors and consulting firms with Chicago offices are the most consistent sponsors, as the role sits at the intersection of engineering and client-facing sales, which these organizations staff heavily.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions engineer roles in Illinois?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for technical solutions engineers in Illinois, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science or engineering. Candidates from Australia may pursue the E-3 visa, and those from Canada or Mexico may qualify under TN visa status using the engineer or computer systems analyst classification, depending on job duties.
Which cities in Illinois have the most technical solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of technical solutions engineer sponsorship opportunities in Illinois. The River North, West Loop, and Fulton Market neighborhoods host dense clusters of technology and enterprise software employers. Smaller concentrations exist in suburban areas including Schaumburg, where Motorola Solutions is headquartered, and Deerfield, which has a notable corporate technology presence.
How to find technical solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to find technical solutions engineer roles in Illinois without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces opportunities from enterprise software companies, consulting firms, and technology vendors in the Chicago metro, which represent the core hiring pool for this role in the state.
Are there any Illinois-specific considerations for technical solutions engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Illinois employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Chicago metropolitan statistical area, which tend to reflect the region's strong technology market. Illinois also has a substantial university pipeline through institutions such as the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Northwestern University, meaning employers in the state are generally familiar with OPT and H-1B processes for international technical hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions engineer jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
