Which companies in Utah sponsor visas for technical solutions engineers?
Adobe, Qualtrics, Domo, and Pluralsight are among the Utah-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for technical and solutions engineering roles. Larger enterprise software companies headquartered in the Silicon Slopes corridor tend to have established immigration programs. Multinational firms with Utah offices, such as Goldman Sachs Technology and eBay, also sponsor for client-facing technical roles.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions engineer roles in Utah?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical solutions engineers in Utah, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, while Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the USMCA. L-1B visas are also used for intracompany transfers with specialized knowledge.
Which cities in Utah have the most technical solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and its surrounding suburbs, including Lehi, Draper, and South Jordan, concentrate the majority of technical solutions engineer openings in Utah. This area, commonly called Silicon Slopes, is home to the highest density of SaaS and enterprise software companies in the state. Provo also sees demand given its proximity to Brigham Young University and a growing cluster of technology companies.
How to find technical solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify technical solutions engineer roles in Utah where employers are actively open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through postings where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces positions in Utah's Silicon Slopes companies and enterprise tech employers that have indicated willingness to sponsor.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for technical solutions engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Utah's tech hiring is heavily tied to the SaaS and enterprise software industries concentrated in Silicon Slopes, so technical solutions engineers with experience in customer-facing implementations, APIs, or cloud platforms tend to be most competitive. Many Utah employers recruit from local universities including the University of Utah and BYU, but international candidates with specialized skills in those same technical domains are pursued by employers who have active immigration programs.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions engineer jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
