Search Technical Solutions Engineer Jobs in IndianaTechnical Solutions Engineer Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for technical solutions engineers in Indiana?
Indianapolis-based employers with established visa sponsorship programs include Salesforce, Genesys, and Eli Lilly's technology division, along with enterprise software companies serving the state's manufacturing and healthcare sectors. Larger technology firms with Indiana offices are more likely to have dedicated immigration infrastructure, making them more consistent sponsors for technical solutions engineer roles than smaller startups.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions engineer roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for technical solutions engineers in Indiana, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization can work for Indiana employers immediately while H-1B sponsorship is pursued through the annual lottery cycle.
Which cities in Indiana have the most technical solutions engineer sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of technical solutions engineer visa sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of enterprise software, SaaS, and healthcare technology employers. Fort Wayne and Bloomington have a smaller but present share of opportunities, particularly tied to manufacturing technology and Indiana University's research commercialization ecosystem.
How to find technical solutions engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for employers who sponsor visas, so you can search technical solutions engineer roles in Indiana without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces companies with active sponsorship histories in the state, which is particularly useful given that Indiana's sponsoring employers are spread across healthcare technology, SaaS, and advanced manufacturing rather than concentrated in one sector.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for technical solutions engineers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Indiana employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor prevailing wage for the Indianapolis or relevant metro area, which is determined by the specific job duties and level rather than a single statewide figure. Purdue University's strong computer engineering and industrial engineering programs create a competitive local graduate talent pool, so international candidates with specialized enterprise software or cloud integration experience tend to stand out to Indiana sponsors.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions engineer jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
