Which companies sponsor visas for business development roles in Indiana?
Eli Lilly, Salesforce, and Cummins are among the Indiana-based employers with established sponsorship track records for business development and commercial roles. Larger life sciences and technology firms in the Indianapolis metro tend to sponsor more frequently than smaller regional players. Staffing-heavy industries like logistics and distribution sponsor less often for business development positions specifically.
Which visa types are most common for business development roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business development professionals in Indiana, particularly when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or international relations and meets the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with advanced degrees may also pursue the EB-2 immigrant visa pathway. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business roles.
Which cities in Indiana have the most business development sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of business development visa sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of life sciences, tech, and financial services employers. Fort Wayne has a smaller but active manufacturing and logistics sector with occasional sponsorship opportunities. Bloomington and West Lafayette see some sponsorship activity tied to university-affiliated research commercialization and startup ecosystems.
How to find business development visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters business development jobs in Indiana specifically by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually vetting hundreds of postings. The platform is built for international candidates, so every listing you see has employer sponsorship as a confirmed factor. Focusing your search on Indianapolis-based life sciences and enterprise tech employers will surface the highest concentration of relevant Indiana opportunities.
Are there any Indiana-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for business development professionals?
Indiana's life sciences corridor, anchored by Eli Lilly and a network of medical device and biotech firms, creates consistent demand for business development professionals with science-adjacent credentials, which can strengthen the specialty occupation argument for H-1B petitions. Purdue University and Indiana University also feed a pipeline of international graduates into local commercial roles. Employers outside the Indianapolis metro may have less experience navigating sponsorship logistics, so larger firms are generally more reliable partners.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
