The salary range above doesn't include additional compensation perks.

A Day in This Role

Your morning starts with a round of prospecting calls and following up on a few website leads. Late morning, you're on-site at a warehouse doing a needs assessment, walking the property and taking notes for a proposal. After lunch you sit down with estimating to firm up pricing on a bid you're chasing, then update your CRM pipeline before a call with a General Contractor about an upcoming new-build opportunity. You close the day following up on a proposal you sent last week — and if it didn't land, figuring out why so you can adjust the next one.

The Role

- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within your territory; build and manage a pipeline.
- Develop relationships within the local community and follow up on website-generated leads.
- Qualify for local municipal bid opportunities and General Contractor new-build opportunities.
- Track opportunities in CRM; follow up with estimating to ensure timely response.
- Conduct site visits for needs assessment; develop project scope and review with the customer before submitting to estimating.
- Prepare and present proposals in a timely manner; follow up and answer questions.
- Collaborate with Estimating and Service Management teams throughout each project.
- Track and analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends and improve conversion rates over time.

What You Bring — Must-Haves

- Demonstrated success in sales and business development — hunter mentality matters more than specific industry background.
- Strong project management skills — able to scope requirements, source materials, and produce accurate estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong negotiation ability.

What You Bring — Nice-to-Haves

- Prior product sales experience — elevator and automotive sales are strong transition industries, both building the electrical-to-mechanical understanding this role needs.
- Experience with CRM systems and structured pipeline management.
- Prior sales team leadership or mentorship experience.
