Which companies sponsor visas for data science analysts in Indiana?
Eli Lilly, Corteva Agriscience, Salesforce (Indianapolis office), and Cummins have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for data science and analytics roles in Indiana in recent years. Large healthcare systems such as Indiana University Health also appear in DOL disclosure data. Sponsorship is not guaranteed at any employer and depends on the specific role, headcount, and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for data science analyst roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data science analyst positions in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field. OPT and STEM OPT extensions are also widely used by graduates from Purdue University and Indiana University before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
Which cities in Indiana have the most data science analyst sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of data science analyst sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of pharmaceutical, insurance, and technology employers. West Lafayette sees demand tied to Purdue University's research ecosystem and nearby corporate partners. Fort Wayne and Bloomington have smaller but active markets, particularly in manufacturing analytics and university-affiliated research roles.
How to find data science analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate lists data science analyst positions in Indiana that are filtered for visa sponsorship, saving you the time of screening employers manually. You can browse by city or filter specifically for H-1B-sponsoring employers. Indiana's life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors post regularly, so checking Migrate Mate frequently gives you early visibility into new openings from employers with established sponsorship histories.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data science analyst sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B data science roles are set at the metropolitan level, with Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson and Lafayette-West Lafayette metros having distinct wage tiers published by the Department of Labor. Purdue and Indiana University both generate a steady pipeline of international graduates in data-heavy fields, which means local employers are generally familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions for analyst roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data science analyst jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
