Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for product development managers?
Eli Lilly is among Indiana's most active visa sponsors for product development roles, given its large R&D presence in Indianapolis. Salesforce, Cummins, Rolls-Royce, and Zimmer Biomet also have established sponsorship track records in the state. Smaller medical device and advanced manufacturing firms in the Indianapolis metro and northern Indiana corridors have also filed H-1B visa petitions for product development positions.
Which visa types are most commonly used for product development manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product development managers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as engineering, business, or computer science. Candidates with multinational company experience may also be considered for L-1A intracompany transferee visas. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery.
Which cities in Indiana have the most product development manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of product development manager sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, driven by its concentration of pharmaceutical, technology, and corporate headquarters. Fort Wayne supports manufacturing-focused product development roles, particularly in automotive and industrial sectors. Bloomington has opportunities tied to life sciences and medical technology, while West Lafayette benefits from proximity to Purdue University and its affiliated technology companies.
How to find product development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a demonstrated history of visa sponsorship, making it easier to identify product development manager positions in Indiana without sifting through listings that won't support international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface relevant openings at companies like Eli Lilly, Cummins, and others actively hiring in Indiana's pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for product development managers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined at the metropolitan statistical area level, so wage obligations differ between the Indianapolis metro, Fort Wayne, and smaller markets. Product development managers with engineering or life sciences backgrounds benefit from Indiana's concentration of pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing employers, which have established immigration legal infrastructure and are generally more experienced with the sponsorship process than smaller or early-stage companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product development manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
