Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for strategy directors?
Eli Lilly, Cummins, and Salesforce have established H-1B sponsorship histories for senior strategy roles in Indiana. Large healthcare systems like Indiana University Health and Ascension St. Vincent also hire strategy directors and have sponsored work visas for director-level positions. Consulting firms with Indianapolis offices, including Deloitte and Accenture, sponsor strategy talent at the director level as well.
Which visa types are most common for strategy director roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy directors in Indiana, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, satisfying specialty occupation criteria. Candidates with multinational employer relationships may qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Senior practitioners with exceptional records may explore the O-1A, though that pathway requires extensive documentation of distinguished achievement.
Which cities in Indiana have the most strategy director sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of strategy director sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, large hospital networks, and professional services firms. Bloomington sees some activity tied to Indiana University's affiliated organizations and life sciences spinoffs. Fort Wayne and South Bend have smaller but growing corporate presences where occasional director-level sponsorship roles appear.
How to find strategy director visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability, so you can search strategy director positions in Indiana without sorting through companies that won't sponsor. Because director-level roles are posted and filled quickly, setting up alerts on Migrate Mate for Indiana strategy director openings helps you respond before positions close. Focusing on Indianapolis-based employers in life sciences, manufacturing, and professional services gives you the strongest pool of sponsoring companies.
What should international candidates know about strategy director hiring in Indiana?
Indiana employers filing H-1B petitions for strategy directors must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the role, which are determined by the specific job duties and the Indianapolis or relevant metropolitan area wage data. Director-level roles with supervisory and budget responsibilities often fall into higher wage tiers, which affects employer willingness to sponsor. Indiana University's Kelley School of Business produces graduates who move into strategy roles regionally, so some employers are familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions for early-career candidates, though director positions typically require several years of prior experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy director jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
