Which companies sponsor visas for compliance program managers in Iowa?
Principal Financial Group, Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Transamerica in Des Moines have documented histories of sponsoring H-1B visa workers in compliance and risk management functions. UnityPoint Health and University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City also sponsor compliance roles. Iowa's insurance and financial services sector drives most of the sponsorship activity for this role type.
Which visa types are most common for compliance program manager roles in Iowa?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for compliance program managers in Iowa, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, law, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1B specialized knowledge status or TN visa status (for Canadian or Mexican nationals in management consulting-adjacent roles) may also find pathways, depending on employer and job duties.
Which cities in Iowa have the most compliance program manager sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines accounts for the largest share of compliance program manager sponsorship opportunities in Iowa, driven by its concentration of insurance carriers, financial institutions, and corporate headquarters. Iowa City and Cedar Rapids follow, supported by healthcare systems and regional banking operations. Davenport occasionally surfaces openings tied to manufacturing compliance functions along the Quad Cities corridor.
How to find compliance program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search compliance program manager roles in Iowa without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results by city or employer type, which is useful given that Des Moines financial firms and Iowa City healthcare systems represent distinct hiring pipelines for this role.
Are there any Iowa-specific considerations for compliance program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Iowa's insurance-heavy economy means many compliance program manager roles fall under state insurance regulatory frameworks, so candidates with experience in financial services compliance or HIPAA-related healthcare compliance are particularly competitive with local employers. The University of Iowa and Iowa State University also generate employer relationships that can benefit international candidates in compliance functions, particularly in research administration and healthcare compliance tracks.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored compliance program manager jobs in Iowa?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
