Which companies sponsor visas for patient services managers in Iowa?
The most active sponsors for patient services manager roles in Iowa are large integrated health systems. UnityPoint Health, MercyOne, and University of Iowa Health Care have histories of sponsoring H-1B visa workers in healthcare administration. Iowa State University Student Health and smaller regional hospital networks occasionally sponsor as well, though capacity varies by organization and budget cycle.
Which visa types are most common for patient services manager roles in Iowa?
The H-1B is the most common visa for patient services manager positions in Iowa, provided the role requires a specialized bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Some employers also support permanent residence sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 categories for long-term hires. TN visas apply to qualifying Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible management classifications.
Which cities in Iowa have the most patient services manager sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines generates the highest volume of patient services manager openings in Iowa, anchored by major health systems and a growing network of specialty clinics. Iowa City is a strong secondary market due to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, a major academic medical center. Cedar Rapids and Davenport also produce consistent demand, particularly within MercyOne and Genesis Health System facilities.
How to find patient services manager visa sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify patient services manager roles in Iowa where employers are open to sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through generic listings, you can search directly for Iowa-based patient services manager positions confirmed to include sponsorship, which is particularly useful given how selectively these roles are advertised by Iowa health systems.
Are there state-specific considerations for patient services managers seeking sponsorship in Iowa?
Iowa's healthcare sector is heavily anchored in academic and nonprofit health systems, which tend to be cap-exempt H-1B employers, meaning they can file petitions year-round outside the annual lottery. The University of Iowa and affiliated teaching hospitals fall into this category. Prevailing wage requirements still apply, and employers must file a certified Labor Condition Application before petitioning. Healthcare administration credentials from Iowa's universities can strengthen applications.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient services manager jobs in Iowa?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
