Which companies sponsor visas for patient services managers in Hawaii?
The largest sponsors of healthcare administration roles in Hawaii include Hawaii Pacific Health (which operates Pali Momi, Straub, and Kapiolani medical centers), The Queen's Health Systems, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii, and Adventist Health Castle on Oahu. Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital and Maui Health System also hire for patient services management, though sponsorship activity is more consistent at the larger Honolulu-based networks.
Which visa types are most common for patient services manager roles in Hawaii?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for patient services managers, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Some candidates transition through OPT or STEM OPT from U.S. university programs. The TN visa applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles. EB-3 immigrant visas are also used by employers sponsoring long-term hires.
Which cities in Hawaii have the most patient services manager sponsorship jobs?
Honolulu accounts for the clear majority of patient services manager sponsorship opportunities in Hawaii, given its concentration of major hospital systems and medical centers. Pearl City, Aiea, and Kailua on Oahu host additional facilities within those networks. Kahului on Maui and Lihue on Kauai have smaller but active healthcare hiring markets, though international sponsorship is less frequent outside the Honolulu metro.
How to find patient services manager visa sponsorship jobs in Hawaii?
Migrate Mate is a job board specifically built for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S. You can filter directly for patient services manager roles in Hawaii to see employers actively open to sponsoring. This is more targeted than general job boards because listings are curated for sponsorship context, saving time for candidates on OPT, H-1B, or other work-authorized statuses who need confirmed employer willingness upfront.
What state-specific factors should patient services managers know about pursuing sponsorship in Hawaii?
Hawaii's healthcare sector operates under unique pressures: the state mandates employer-provided health insurance under the Hawaii Prepaid Health Care Act, which affects how health systems budget for new hires including sponsored workers. The relatively small size of Hawaii's market means fewer total openings compared to mainland states, so competition for sponsored roles can be significant. Candidates with experience in community health or Pacific Islander population health often stand out to local employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient services manager jobs in Hawaii?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
