GENERAL PURPOSE:
Serve as a key contributor who drives DFA's commercial business forward by crafting and executing strategic marketing initiatives and support plans that elevate DFA products, services, connect with our customers, and differentiate our solutions to provide value back to our farmer-owners. This role reports to the Director of Customer Marketing and Business Development and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure DFA marketing initiatives resonate with our strategic customers in the retail, foodservice, food manufacturing, and beverage industries. This role offers a dynamic candidate opportunities for professional growth within DFA's marketing and overall organization, with exposure to key leaders and the opportunity to impact strategic initiatives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute marketing plans or tactics that support the go-to-market execution of commercial network customer strategies, helping enable achievement of sales goals and financial targets
- Create compelling stories and ideas that align to where the customer needs DFA, rooted in deep understanding of DFA's capabilities, consumer needs, and market insights
- Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Insight teams, as well as other cross-functional partners, to create customer first strategic communications, selling tools, and presentations
- Develop and lead Customer Marketing's customer experience strategy that elevates DFA as a leading global dairy cooperative, including trade shows, customized experiences for existing and new customers, and new ways to grow brand loyalty with key decision makers at our strategic customers
- Seek ways to personalize and optimize customer engagement and the way they experience the DFA brand based on deep understanding of the customer/category and opportunity at hand
- Gather, capture, and analyze category/customer insights that inform strategic marketing and communications planning, ensuring alignment with industry trends, customer needs, and consumer behavior to capitalize on opportunities for growth
- Develop and maintain knowledge of strategic customers business, their customer/consumer and the communications/marketing landscape
- Demonstrate proactivity in identifying trends, opportunities, issues, and best practices across B2B and consumer trends to drive highly curated customer experiences
- Pursue opportunities aligned to trends and insights that intersect with customer needs that simultaneously align with DFA business goals and objectives
- Foster peer relationships with counterparts to further support customer needs and opportunities
- Own day-to-day plans and execution of marketing activities for customers, ensuring strategic focus and prioritization
- Support DFA's customer sales efforts, ensuring the DFA brand position and guidelines are consistently upheld
- Monitor food trends on social media, news, ecommerce outlets, traditional grocery outlets, food influencers, chefs, restaurants that are related to our focus and capabilities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 3-5 years of marketing or communications experience, preferably in B2B, food manufacturing, dairy, or ingredient industries.
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns and working cross-functionally with sales and product teams.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and other internal and external partners across multiple teams and disciplines
- Ability to build relationships and interface with all levels of individuals internal and external to the organization
- Strong analytical, decision-making, influence, presentation and communication skills
- Able to translate insights and data into strategic opportunities
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Able to lead through personal integrity and diversity of thought
- Action-oriented with the ability to think and react quickly to changing circumstances
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, PowerPoint
- Proficiency with managing marketing insights tools, databases, and CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
Travel: 15%-30% for customer and industry events
Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000
