JOB OVERVIEW
This role sits within T-Mobile's Incentive Strategy team and drives the data modeling, financial analysis, and business intelligence work that shapes how we design, evaluate, and evolve our incentive programs. You'll turn large, complex datasets into clear strategic recommendations — modeling incentive plan structures, forecasting financial impact, measuring program effectiveness, and delivering executive-level insights that influence decisions across the organization.
This is a data and strategy role where the domain happens to be incentives. If you've built financial models, written SQL against enterprise data warehouses, and translated complex data into narratives that drive business action — this role is for you. Compensation or incentive background is a plus, not a prerequisite.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain analytical models to evaluate incentive plan design scenarios, quota structures, payout curves, and program ROI
- Develop financial forecasts and accrual models to project incentive program costs and quantify business impact
- Mine and analyze large, complex datasets using SQL to surface performance trends, behavioral patterns, and strategic insights
- Design and maintain dashboards, self-service reporting tools, and data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI) that give stakeholders real-time visibility into program performance
- Partner with Finance, HR, Sales, and Operations to translate business questions into analytical frameworks and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Conduct ad hoc quantitative research and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making
- Contribute to the design and governance of data infrastructure, reporting standards, and analytical documentation for the team
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required) Acceptable areas of study include data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, data analysis, or equivalent quantitative experience (Required)
- 4–7 years of experience solving complex analytical problems using quantitative and statistical approaches (Required)
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience with SQL analysis of large, complex datasets in enterprise environments (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, MSSQL, Teradata, or similar) (Required)
- 4–7 years of experience building and presenting data visualizations and performance reporting using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools (Required)
- 4–7 years of experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or scenario analysis (Required)
- Experience with Python, R, or similar statistical/data science language (Preferred)
- Background in incentive compensation, sales operations, HR analytics, or workforce analytics (Preferred — not required)
- Telecommunications industry experience (Preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Financial Modeling & Quantitative Analysis — Demonstrated ability to build models from scratch, stress-test assumptions, and translate findings into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences (Required)
- SQL Expertise — Deep, hands-on proficiency querying and transforming large datasets across enterprise data platforms (Required)
- Data Visualization — Experience designing dashboards and reports that drive decisions, not just display data (Required)
- Communication & Influence — Ability to translate complex analysis into clear executive narratives; comfortable presenting and defending analytical methodology to senior leadership (Required)
- Problem Structuring — Ability to take an ambiguous business question and break it into a structured, actionable analytical approach (Required)
- Financial & Business Acumen — Comfortable working with financial data, understanding cost/benefit tradeoffs, and framing analysis in terms of organizational impact (Required)

Which telecom companies sponsor Green Card visas in Kansas?
AT&T, T-Mobile, and Cox Communications are among the larger telecom employers with a presence in Kansas that have historically sponsored Green Cards for qualifying roles. Smaller regional carriers and managed service providers operating in the Kansas City corridor also appear in PERM labor certification filings. Sponsorship availability varies by role, business need, and internal immigration policy at each employer.
Which cities in Kansas have the most telecom Green Card sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, including Overland Park and Shawnee, accounts for the largest share of telecom Green Card sponsorship activity in Kansas, given its concentration of carrier offices and network operations centers. Wichita is the secondary market, particularly for infrastructure and field engineering roles. Smaller cities like Topeka and Lawrence see occasional openings tied to regional network expansion projects.
What types of telecom roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship?
Roles that consistently appear in PERM filings for the telecom industry include network engineers, RF engineers, systems architects, software developers working on telecom platforms, and network operations center analysts. These positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, which supports the specialty occupation standard required for employer-sponsored permanent residency petitions.
How do I find telecom Green Card sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can search for telecom roles in Kansas where employers are actively offering Green Card sponsorship rather than sifting through general postings. This saves significant time compared to manually screening job descriptions. Migrate Mate's telecom category covers roles across the Kansas City metro, Wichita, and other Kansas markets where sponsorship-willing employers are hiring.
Are there any state-specific considerations for pursuing Green Card sponsorship in Kansas telecom jobs?
Kansas does not have state-level immigration programs, so Green Card sponsorship follows the standard federal PERM labor certification process administered by the Department of Labor and USCIS. One practical consideration for Kansas applicants is that the Kansas City metro straddles the Missouri border, meaning some employers list positions under either state. Confirming the actual work location and which legal entity is sponsoring the petition matters for your I-140 filing.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card telecom jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
