Which companies in Kansas sponsor visas for patient service coordinators?
The University of Kansas Health System is among the most active sponsors in the state, along with Stormont Vance Health in Topeka and Via Christi Health in Wichita. Large regional health networks and federally qualified health centers are more likely to have established immigration processes than smaller independent clinics, making them more reliable starting points for sponsorship seekers.
Which visa types are most common for patient service coordinator roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for patient service coordinators, provided the role is structured as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as health administration or business. Some candidates also enter through TN visa status if they are Canadian or Mexican nationals with qualifying credentials. Employers must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before sponsoring any H-1B worker.
Which cities in Kansas have the most patient service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, including Overland Park and Olathe on the Kansas side, has the highest concentration of sponsorship opportunities due to its large hospital networks and corporate healthcare employers. Wichita is the second-largest hub, driven by Via Christi Health and Wesley Medical Center. Topeka offers additional opportunities through Stormont Vance and state government-affiliated health programs.
How to find patient service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa sponsorship roles in the United States, including patient service coordinator positions in Kansas. You can filter jobs by state and role to see which Kansas employers are actively hiring and have a track record of sponsoring foreign nationals. This saves time compared to manually screening job postings that do not address sponsorship.
Are there state-specific considerations for patient service coordinators seeking sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas has a notable presence of academic medical centers, particularly through the University of Kansas system, which as a cap-exempt institution can file H-1B petitions outside the annual lottery. This is a meaningful distinction for international candidates who have not yet secured H-1B status. Healthcare roles in Kansas also typically require HIPAA compliance knowledge and familiarity with electronic health record systems, which strengthens an application.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service coordinator jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
