Which companies sponsor visas for assistant general managers in Kentucky?
Kentucky employers with a track record of sponsoring foreign workers for management roles include Toyota's Georgetown manufacturing operations, Yum! Brands and its affiliated restaurant groups in Louisville, and large hotel chains such as Marriott and Hilton properties across the state. Distribution and logistics companies in the Louisville metro area, drawn by its UPS Worldport hub, have also sponsored assistant general manager candidates through H-1B visa and other work visa categories.
Which visa types are most common for assistant general manager roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa for assistant general manager roles where the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, hospitality management, or operations management. The L-1A intracompany transferee visa is an option for candidates moving from a foreign affiliate of a Kentucky-based company into a managerial role. TN visa status applies to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories under the USMCA agreement.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most assistant general manager sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is Kentucky's primary market for assistant general manager sponsorship, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, hotel properties, and logistics operations. Lexington is the second largest market, with hospitality, healthcare administration, and Toyota-adjacent suppliers generating demand. Bowling Green has a growing manufacturing and retail presence, and Georgetown hosts significant automotive industry activity, making both secondary cities worth considering for operations management roles.
How to find assistant general manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search for assistant general manager roles in Kentucky without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces openings across Louisville, Lexington, and other Kentucky markets in hospitality, manufacturing, and retail. Filtering by role type and state helps you focus on employers who have already indicated willingness to sponsor international candidates for management positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for assistant general managers seeking sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to H-1B petitions, meaning employers must pay the federally determined wage for the Louisville, Lexington, or relevant metro area. The state's manufacturing sector, anchored by automotive production in Georgetown and Bowling Green, tends to require operations management experience specific to those industries. Candidates with backgrounds in food and beverage, hospitality management, or automotive supply chain are well-positioned given Kentucky's dominant employer industries.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored assistant general manager jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
