Which companies in Kentucky sponsor visas for executive assistants?
Large Kentucky-headquartered employers are the most likely sponsors for executive assistant roles. Companies like Humana, Kindred Healthcare, Ashland Inc., and LG&E and KU Energy have the HR infrastructure and legal resources to support visa sponsorship. Regional banks, law firms, and university systems in Louisville and Lexington also periodically sponsor qualified administrative professionals, though smaller businesses rarely do.
Which visa types are most common for executive assistant roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common pathway, but it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it typically needs to require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Executive assistant positions are not always straightforward H-1B candidates. Candidates with relevant degrees in business administration or organizational management have the strongest case. The O-1 visa is another option for those with demonstrated extraordinary achievement in administrative or business fields.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most executive assistant visa sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is Kentucky's primary hub for executive assistant sponsorship opportunities, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 and large regional employers in healthcare, logistics, and financial services. Lexington is the second-strongest market, anchored by the University of Kentucky, major law firms, and the equine industry's corporate operations. Frankfort, as the state capital, also generates demand through government-adjacent organizations and associations.
How to find executive assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored roles and filters executive assistant positions in Kentucky by employers with active sponsorship histories. Because sponsorship eligibility for administrative roles depends heavily on how the position is defined and which employer is hiring, using a platform focused on sponsored jobs saves significant time. Migrate Mate lets you search Kentucky executive assistant openings without filtering through listings that don't support international candidates.
Are there any state-specific considerations for executive assistants pursuing visa sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky's economy is anchored in healthcare, manufacturing, energy, and equine industries, so executive assistants with domain knowledge in these sectors are more competitive with sponsoring employers. The University of Kentucky and University of Louisville both feed talent into the local professional services market and occasionally sponsor international hires for senior administrative roles. Prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules apply nationally, and employers must document that the role genuinely requires a degree-level qualification.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored executive assistant jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
