Which companies sponsor visas for insurance collectors in Kentucky?
Louisville-based Humana is among the larger employers in Kentucky's insurance industry with a documented history of H-1B sponsorship, as is Anthem. Regional carriers, third-party administrators, and collections-focused financial services firms operating in the Louisville and Lexington metro areas also occasionally sponsor international candidates for insurance collector roles, though sponsorship frequency varies by company size and hiring need.
Which visa types are most common for insurance collector roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common work visa for insurance collector positions requiring a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization through a U.S. university can work immediately while pursuing sponsorship. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role qualifies under an eligible USMCA professional category.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most insurance collector sponsorship jobs?
Louisville concentrates the majority of Kentucky's insurance industry employment, home to major carrier headquarters and large back-office operations. Lexington is a secondary hub with a growing financial services presence. Frankfort, as the state capital, hosts regulatory and government-adjacent insurance operations. Candidates searching for sponsored insurance collector roles in Kentucky should focus their search primarily on the Louisville metro area.
How to find insurance collector visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters insurance collector roles in Kentucky by visa sponsorship availability, saving significant time over general job searches. Because not every posting explicitly states sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate's screening helps surface employers with a verified track record of sponsoring international candidates for insurance and collections roles in the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for insurance collector roles in Kentucky?
Kentucky's insurance industry is regulated by the Kentucky Department of Insurance, and collectors working with licensed carriers must operate within state debt collection and insurance compliance frameworks. Employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the Department of Labor's prevailing wage for the Louisville or Lexington area, whichever applies. Candidates with degrees from the University of Kentucky or University of Louisville may have existing employer relationships that ease the sponsorship conversation.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored insurance collector jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
