Which companies sponsor visas for insurance collectors in Massachusetts?
Liberty Mutual, Hanover Insurance Group, and MassMutual are among the largest Massachusetts-based insurers with established HR infrastructure for visa sponsorship. Regional carriers and third-party collection agencies operating in Boston and Worcester have also filed Labor Condition Applications for collections-related roles. Sponsorship activity tends to concentrate at mid-to-large firms with dedicated immigration compliance teams rather than smaller independent agencies.
Which visa types are most common for insurance collector roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is the most frequently used visa for insurance collector positions when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, business administration, or accounting. Some employers also consider the TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Whether a specific insurance collector role qualifies as a specialty occupation depends on the employer's job requirements and the educational background of the candidate.
How to find insurance collector visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for insurance collector roles in Massachusetts without sorting through positions that won't support work authorization. You can narrow results by location, including Boston, Worcester, and Springfield, to identify which Massachusetts employers are actively hiring sponsored candidates for collections and receivables roles.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most insurance collector sponsorship jobs?
Boston and its surrounding metro area account for the largest share of insurance industry employment in Massachusetts, given the concentration of corporate headquarters and regional offices there. Worcester is notable as the home base of Hanover Insurance Group. Springfield has a presence through MassMutual's headquarters. Candidates are most likely to find sponsorship-eligible openings in these three cities, with Boston offering the greatest overall volume.
Are there any state-specific considerations for insurance collector roles in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts enforces strict consumer protection and debt collection regulations under state law, which means employers often look for candidates with specific compliance awareness alongside collections experience. The state's concentration of insurance headquarters also means prevailing wage determinations for H-1B filings are benchmarked against a competitive local market. Candidates with relevant degrees and experience in regulated financial environments tend to be better positioned when employers assess whether a role qualifies for sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored insurance collector jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
