Which companies in Kentucky sponsor visas for solutions architects?
Louisville-based Humana is among the most active sponsors for technology roles in the state, given its scale as a major health insurance company with significant IT infrastructure needs. Lexington employers including Tempur Sealy and several regional financial institutions also sponsor solutions architects. Large healthcare systems like Baptist Health and Norton Healthcare have hired for architecture roles with sponsorship support.
Which visa types are most common for solutions architect roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for solutions architects in Kentucky, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field. Employers also occasionally sponsor L-1A or L-1B visas for solutions architects transferring from international offices. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying computer-related roles.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Louisville concentrates the majority of Kentucky's solutions architect sponsorship activity, driven by its healthcare, logistics, and financial services industries. Lexington is the second-largest market, with technology hiring tied to the University of Kentucky's research ecosystem and manufacturing sector. Bowling Green and Northern Kentucky, which borders Cincinnati, also see occasional openings from multi-state employers operating regional hubs.
How to find solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles that offer visa sponsorship, making it straightforward to search solutions architect positions in Kentucky without sorting through roles that exclude international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface openings from Kentucky employers actively willing to sponsor. Focusing on Louisville and Lexington will return the highest volume of relevant results.
Are there any state-specific considerations for solutions architects pursuing sponsorship in Kentucky?
Kentucky does not have a state income tax structure or tech-specific incentive program that directly affects visa sponsorship decisions, but the state's relatively lower cost of living compared to coastal markets can influence prevailing wage calculations under Department of Labor requirements. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications for solutions architect roles in the Louisville or Lexington metropolitan areas will reference wage data specific to those metro designations, not a statewide rate.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solutions architect jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
