Which companies sponsor visas for service coordinators in Louisiana?
Healthcare organizations are the most active sponsors for service coordinator roles in Louisiana. Ochsner Health, LCMC Health, and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System regularly hire coordinators to manage patient care and community programs. State agencies and federally funded nonprofits operating under Medicaid waiver programs also sponsor service coordinators, particularly for developmental disabilities and behavioral health services across the state.
Which visa types are most common for service coordinator roles in Louisiana?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for service coordinators when the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as social work, healthcare administration, or human services. Some positions may qualify under the TN visa for Canadian or Mexican nationals in social work categories. Employers in Louisiana's healthcare sector also occasionally sponsor EB-3 immigrant visas for skilled worker classifications when long-term placement is the goal.
Which cities in Louisiana have the most service coordinator sponsorship jobs?
New Orleans has the highest concentration of service coordinator sponsorship opportunities, driven by its large hospital networks and federally funded community health programs. Baton Rouge is the second most active market, anchored by state government agencies, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, and Baton Rouge General. Shreveport sees demand through Willis-Knighton Health System and regional social services organizations serving northwest Louisiana.
How to find service coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Louisiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters service coordinator roles in Louisiana by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you are not sifting through listings from employers who do not sponsor. Search by role and state on Migrate Mate to surface active postings from healthcare systems, nonprofits, and government contractors in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport that have a documented history of sponsoring international workers.
Are there state-specific considerations for service coordinator visa sponsorship in Louisiana?
Louisiana's Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services programs generate consistent demand for service coordinators through managed care organizations, which creates a reliable pipeline of roles that may qualify for H-1B sponsorship when a specialized degree is required. Louisiana State University and Tulane University produce social work and public health graduates who sometimes pursue OPT or STEM OPT extensions in coordinator roles before transitioning to employer-sponsored visas. Prevailing wage determinations for coordinators in Louisiana are set by the Department of Labor and vary by metro area and experience level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored service coordinator jobs in Louisiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
