Which companies in Maryland sponsor visas for corporate development managers?
Several large Maryland employers have established H-1B visa sponsorship histories for business and strategy roles, including Leidos, Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Hamilton, T. Rowe Price, and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. Defense contractors along the I-270 corridor and financial services firms in Baltimore are among the more active sponsors for corporate development and M&A-focused positions.
Which visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in Maryland?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for corporate development managers in Maryland, as the role typically requires a bachelor's or advanced degree in finance, business, or economics and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates with advanced degrees may also see EB-2 immigrant visa pathways pursued by larger employers. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying business occupations.
Which cities in Maryland have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Bethesda and Rockville lead in corporate development job density, driven by defense contractors and healthcare companies headquartered along the I-270 technology corridor. Baltimore is the second major hub, particularly for financial services, insurance, and hospital systems such as Johns Hopkins Medicine and University of Maryland Medical System. Annapolis also sees occasional postings tied to government-adjacent organizations.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Maryland?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have demonstrated visa sponsorship willingness, including corporate development manager positions in Maryland. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing at sponsorship availability, you can search directly for verified sponsoring employers in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, filtering by role and state to focus your outreach on companies actively open to international candidates.
Are there any Maryland-specific considerations for corporate development managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Maryland's proximity to federal agencies means many corporate development roles at defense and government-services firms require security clearances, which are generally not available to non-U.S. citizens or non-permanent residents. This limits the sponsoring employer pool meaningfully. Candidates should prioritize private-sector employers in healthcare, financial services, and commercial technology, where clearance is not a prerequisite and H-1B sponsorship is more accessible.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in Maryland?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
