Which companies sponsor visas for corporate development managers in New York?
Large financial institutions and multinational corporations are the most active sponsors for corporate development manager roles in New York. Companies like JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and major pharmaceutical and technology firms with New York headquarters have established immigration programs and regularly file H-1B petitions for strategic finance and M&A professionals. Smaller boutique advisory firms sponsor less frequently.
Which visa types are most common for corporate development manager roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for corporate development managers in New York, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in finance, business administration, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with extraordinary achievement in M&A or investment strategy may qualify for an O-1. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 as an alternative to the H-1B lottery.
How to find corporate development manager visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find corporate development manager roles in New York where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship willingness, saving you the time of screening hundreds of postings manually. Corporate development roles in New York are heavily concentrated in financial services, healthcare, and technology, so filtering by those sectors on Migrate Mate will return the most relevant results.
Which cities in New York have the most corporate development manager sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of corporate development manager sponsorship opportunities in New York, driven by its concentration of investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, and major corporate headquarters. Smaller clusters exist in White Plains and Melville on Long Island, where regional corporate offices are located, but candidates targeting visa sponsorship should focus their search on New York City.
Are there any state-specific or role-specific considerations for corporate development managers seeking sponsorship in New York?
New York's Department of Labor prevailing wage determinations apply to H-1B petitions filed for corporate development manager roles, and Manhattan's high cost of living means prevailing wages in this market are among the highest nationally. New York-based universities including Columbia, NYU Stern, and Cornell Tech produce a significant share of candidates for these roles, creating a competitive applicant pool that international candidates should factor into their search.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored corporate development manager jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
