Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in Maryland?
Federal contractors and technology firms are the most active sponsors for solution managers in Maryland. Companies such as Leidos, Booz Allen Hamilton, SAIC, Northrop Grumman, and Lockheed Martin have consistent H-1B visa sponsorship histories for solution-focused roles. Life sciences firms in the Montgomery County corridor, including those in the biotechnology and health IT sectors, also sponsor international candidates for solution manager positions.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Maryland?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution managers in Maryland, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or business. L-1B visas are another pathway for candidates transferring within a multinational company to a Maryland office. Some candidates already holding TN visa or O-1 visa status also find employer support for solution manager roles in the state.
Which cities in Maryland have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Bethesda and Rockville in Montgomery County see the highest concentration of solution manager openings tied to federal health agencies and government contracting. Baltimore supports a secondary cluster, particularly in financial technology and healthcare IT. The I-270 technology corridor connecting Gaithersburg and Frederick has grown steadily as a hub for cybersecurity and enterprise software firms that hire solution managers with sponsorship.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Maryland?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse solution manager roles in Maryland without sorting through positions that exclude international candidates. You can search by role and state to surface openings from federal contractors, technology firms, and life sciences employers across the Bethesda, Baltimore, and Montgomery County markets that have active sponsorship programs.
Are there any Maryland-specific considerations for solution managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Many Maryland employers, particularly federal contractors, require security clearances for solution manager roles. Active clearances are generally restricted to U.S. citizens or permanent residents, which can limit sponsorship eligibility for certain positions. Candidates should prioritize roles with civilian or commercial client portfolios when searching. Maryland's proximity to federal agencies also means the Department of Labor's prevailing wage determination for solution manager roles in the Washington-Baltimore metro area is applied during H-1B filing, so employers must meet that regional wage standard.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Maryland?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
