Which companies sponsor visas for solution managers in Tennessee?
Nashville-headquartered companies with documented H-1B sponsorship activity for solution-oriented roles include HCA Healthcare, Asurion, and AllianceBernstein. Managed service providers and technology consultancies operating regional offices in Tennessee, such as Capgemini and Cognizant, also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for similar roles. Sponsorship decisions vary by business unit and headcount needs, so verifying current activity for each employer matters.
Which visa types are most common for solution manager roles in Tennessee?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for solution manager positions in Tennessee, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT can work while an H-1B is pending. The L-1A is relevant for managers transferring within a multinational company to a Tennessee office.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most solution manager sponsorship jobs?
Nashville accounts for the majority of solution manager sponsorship activity in Tennessee, driven by its concentration of healthcare technology, financial services, and enterprise software companies. Knoxville sees demand from energy sector firms and Oak Ridge National Laboratory-affiliated contractors. Memphis contributes opportunities through logistics technology and supply chain management companies, particularly those serving the FedEx ecosystem.
How to find solution manager visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you search solution manager roles across Tennessee without sifting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results by city, focusing on Nashville, Knoxville, or Memphis depending on your target industry. Migrate Mate's data reflects employers with active or recent sponsorship history, which is particularly useful for a mid-level role like solution manager where sponsorship is offered selectively.
Are there state-specific considerations for solution managers seeking sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since take-home pay differs from states like California or New York at the same gross salary. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wages for solution manager roles by metropolitan area, so Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis each have distinct wage floors that sponsoring employers must meet on the Labor Condition Application. Tennessee's healthcare IT concentration also means many roles sit at the intersection of clinical knowledge and technical project management.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored solution manager jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
