Which companies sponsor visas for account specialists in Massachusetts?
Financial services firms like State Street, Fidelity Investments, and Liberty Mutual have consistent track records of H-1B visa sponsorship for account-facing roles in Massachusetts. Enterprise technology companies in Cambridge and Boston, including HubSpot and PTC, also hire account specialists with visa support. Life sciences firms along the Route 128 corridor, such as Thermo Fisher Scientific and Biogen, are additional sources of sponsorship activity in this role category.
Which visa types are most common for account specialist roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for account specialist positions in Massachusetts, particularly for roles tied to financial services, software, or life sciences where a relevant bachelor's degree is a stated requirement. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. International students completing OPT or STEM OPT may also work in account specialist roles before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
How to find account specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify account specialist openings in Massachusetts without sorting through roles that don't offer immigration support. You can narrow results by location, including Boston, Cambridge, and Worcester. Because account specialist titles vary by industry, browsing related categories on Migrate Mate can surface additional opportunities across financial services, tech, and life sciences employers in the state.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most account specialist sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the primary hub, driven by its concentration of financial institutions, consulting firms, and technology companies. Cambridge attracts account specialists in software and biotech, particularly around Kendall Square. Worcester and Waltham also see account specialist hiring, with Waltham hosting several Route 128 life sciences and technology employers that have established sponsorship programs. Suburban office corridors outside Boston are worth including in any search.
Are there state-specific factors that affect account specialist visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements when filing H-1B petitions, and the state's high cost of living means those prevailing wage benchmarks tend to be set at higher levels than in many other states. The Boston area's large international student population from universities like MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern creates a well-established pipeline of candidates familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions, which means many local employers have prior experience navigating the sponsorship process for account specialist roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account specialist jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
