Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for account specialist roles?
Multinational employers with Oregon headquarters or major offices are the most consistent sponsors. Nike in Beaverton, Intel in Hillsboro, and Daimler Trucks North America in Portland have all filed Labor Condition Applications for account and client-facing roles. Healthcare and technology companies, including PacificSource and Lattice Semiconductor, also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for sponsored positions in the state.
Which visa types are most common for account specialist jobs in Oregon?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for account specialist roles in Oregon, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or finance. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible professional categories. Some employers also sponsor L-1 visa transfers for account specialists moving from an overseas office of the same company.
Which cities in Oregon have the most account specialist visa sponsorship jobs?
Portland accounts for the large majority of account specialist sponsorship activity in Oregon, given its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and technology companies. The Beaverton and Hillsboro corridor in the Portland metro area adds significant volume, driven by Nike and Intel. Eugene has a smaller but active market tied to the University of Oregon's business network and regional healthcare employers.
How to find account specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for account specialist roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that don't consider international candidates. You can filter by location and role type to focus on Oregon-based openings where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job postings with no sponsorship information.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for account specialists seeking visa sponsorship?
Oregon's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program are benchmarked to the Portland-Vancouver-Hillsboro metropolitan statistical area for most roles, which sets the minimum wage an employer must pay a sponsored account specialist. Oregon also has no state-level visa sponsorship restrictions beyond federal requirements. Portland State University and the University of Oregon produce business graduates who sometimes enter account specialist roles through OPT before transitioning to employer-sponsored status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account specialist jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
