Position Details
Role: Veterinary Technician, CVT, LVT, or RVT
Status: Full-time
Salary: $22 - $26 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday. This is a flexible position, and can be offered as four 10-hour shifts, too!

The Boston Cat Hospital is seeking an experienced or credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. As an AAHA-accredited, feline-exclusive practice, we are dedicated to providing exceptional medical care while creating a supportive and collaborative environment where our team members can thrive.
As a two-doctor primary care hospital serving thousands of feline patients throughout the greater Boston area, you'll have the opportunity to fully utilize your technical skills while continuing to learn and grow. Equipped with ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, surgery and anesthesia capabilities, and digital radiography, our hospital offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Do
- Collect patient histories and triage appointments
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
- Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence
- Fill prescribed medications as directed by veterinarians
- Communicate effectively with clients, support staff, and doctors
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas while following infection control protocols
- Accurately document patient care and treatments within medical records
- Collaborate with the team to maintain efficient workflow and a positive hospital culture
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) preferred
- 3–5 years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
- Bachelor's degree required if not credentialed
- Strong feline handling and patient care skills
- Knowledge of common feline medications and vaccination protocols
- Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work 36–40 hours per week
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning
