Which companies sponsor visas for business development executives in Massachusetts?
Life sciences and technology companies lead visa sponsorship for business development executives in Massachusetts. Firms like Biogen, Moderna, Akamai Technologies, PTC, and HubSpot have documented histories of sponsoring international talent in senior commercial roles. Large consulting and financial services firms operating out of Boston, including Fidelity Investments and State Street, also sponsor business development talent at the executive level.
Which visa types are most common for business development executive roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa for business development executives in Massachusetts, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline. The O-1A is an option for candidates with demonstrated extraordinary achievement. Intracompany transfers to Massachusetts offices may qualify for the L-1A visa, particularly for managers and executives at multinational companies.
How to find business development executive visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find business development executive roles in Massachusetts where employers are open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship willingness and role type, so you're not sorting through listings that won't work for your situation. Focusing your search on Boston, Cambridge, and the Route 128 technology corridor will surface the highest concentration of relevant opportunities.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most business development executive sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the primary hub, with the highest density of business development executive roles in finance, technology, and life sciences. Cambridge follows closely, anchored by biotech and pharmaceutical companies clustered near Kendall Square. Waltham and Lexington along the Route 128 corridor host major technology and defense contractors that also hire senior commercial talent with visa sponsorship. Worcester has a smaller but growing market tied to medical devices and healthcare.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for business development executive visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage for the role and location as determined by the Department of Labor, and Boston's prevailing wages for senior commercial roles tend to be among the highest in the country. The state's deep university pipeline from MIT, Harvard, and Boston University means employers are generally familiar with international hiring processes. Life sciences and technology companies here often have dedicated immigration counsel on retainer, which can make the sponsorship process more straightforward for candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development executive jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
