Tips for Finding H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in Massachusetts
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
H-1B1 Singapore requires a degree in a field directly related to the role. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation's education requirements before applying, as Massachusetts employers in biotech and finance often receive USCIS scrutiny on degree-field alignment.
Target Route 128 corridor employers actively filing LCAs
Employers must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before sponsoring you. Search DOL's OFLC Wage Search to identify Massachusetts companies with certified LCAs in your occupation, this reveals who is actively sponsoring, not just who mentions it in job postings.
Distinguish H-1B1 from H-1B when approaching Boston employers
Many Greater Boston employers default to H-1B visa processes and may not recognize H-1B1 visa as a separate Singapore-specific category. Clarify upfront that H-1B visa1 has no lottery and an annual cap of 1,400 slots, which significantly reduces employer risk and processing time.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified H-1B1 sponsors
Search Migrate Mate to identify Massachusetts employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history by industry and city. This filters for companies that have already navigated the sponsorship process, saving you from pitching cold to employers unfamiliar with the visa category.
Negotiate your start date around LCA certification timelines
DOL certifies LCAs within seven business days in most cases, but your employer still needs that certification before filing with USCIS. Build at least three weeks into your projected start date to allow for LCA certification and USCIS processing without creating gaps in your employment timeline.

What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn.
