Which companies sponsor visas for patient service specialists in Massachusetts?
Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Lahey Health, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children's Hospital are among the larger Massachusetts health systems with established visa sponsorship infrastructure. Community health centers affiliated with academic medical networks also sponsor for patient service roles, though sponsorship decisions vary by facility, budget cycle, and the specific position being filled.
Which visa types are most common for patient service specialist roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for patient service specialists, provided the role meets the specialty occupation standard, which typically requires a relevant bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field. Some positions may qualify under TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals. Employers in Massachusetts also occasionally support green card sponsorship for long-term hires through EB-3 pathways.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most patient service specialist sponsorship jobs?
Boston is by far the leading city, anchored by its dense cluster of teaching hospitals, research institutions, and specialty clinics. Worcester is the second-largest hub, home to UMass Memorial Medical Center and Saint Vincent Hospital. Springfield, in western Massachusetts, has a growing healthcare sector through Baystate Health. Smaller cities like Lowell and Brockton also have community health center employers that hire for patient service roles.
How to find patient service specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find patient service specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts. The platform filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can browse roles at Massachusetts health systems without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Filtering by location and role type on Migrate Mate surfaces opportunities at major Boston-area medical centers as well as regional hospitals across the state.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors that affect patient service specialist visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts has one of the highest concentrations of academic medical centers in the country, which tends to support more active sponsorship infrastructure than in states with fewer large hospital networks. Employers must pay the prevailing wage for the role and location under H-1B requirements, and the Boston metro area's wage standards are among the higher thresholds in the Northeast. International applicants who completed healthcare-related programs at Massachusetts universities, including UMass or Northeastern, sometimes have existing relationships with local health system recruiters.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored patient service specialist jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
