Position Overview
Insight Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Server Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Microsoft server infrastructure, storage technologies, backup solutions, and infrastructure management to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Hyper-V environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Manage and administer virtual machines (VMs), including provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and manage storage solutions to ensure data availability, integrity, and security.
- Monitor server and storage systems performance and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements and implement infrastructure projects.
- Maintain documentation of server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for server and storage-related issues.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and capacity planning activities.
- Perform daily backups of critical server data and applications.
- Monitor backup job processes and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Familiar with Microsoft operating systems and server platforms.
- Knowledge of network equipment including routers and switches.
- Lead design, implementation, and support of cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Analyze infrastructure to determine and resolve inefficiencies.
- Review logs for issues and escalate as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in server administration or similar enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Hyper-V administration and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Synology and SAN/NAS storage technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Experience with Dell server hardware and deployment best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server (MCSA/MCSE equivalent)
- CompTIA Server+
- AZ-800 and AZ-801
