Which companies sponsor visas for partnerships managers in Minnesota?
Large Minnesota employers with established visa sponsorship programs include UnitedHealth Group, Target, Best Buy, 3M, and Medtronic. Mid-market SaaS and medtech firms in the Twin Cities metro, such as Jamf and Digi International, have also filed sponsorships for business development and partnerships roles. Sponsorship availability varies by role, headcount, and hiring cycle, so confirming with each employer directly is worthwhile.
Which visa types are most common for partnerships manager roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for partnerships manager positions in Minnesota, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates already holding L-1B or O-1 visa status may also qualify depending on their background. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role and credentials meet USMCA requirements for relevant professional categories.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most partnerships manager sponsorship jobs?
Minneapolis and St. Paul account for the large majority of partnerships manager sponsorship opportunities in Minnesota. The Minneapolis metro hosts corporate headquarters across retail, healthcare, financial services, and technology, all of which build partnership teams. Rochester has a smaller but active market tied to Mayo Clinic and its supplier ecosystem. Outside these metros, sponsorship-eligible roles become significantly less common.
How to find partnerships manager visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to browse partnerships manager openings in Minnesota without sifting through roles that don't support international candidates. You can narrow results by location and role type to focus on Twin Cities employers with active sponsorship programs. Creating a profile on Migrate Mate also helps match your background against relevant Minnesota openings as they are posted.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for partnerships managers in Minnesota?
Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters means many employers already have immigration counsel and defined sponsorship workflows, which can simplify the process compared to smaller markets. Partnerships manager roles often involve client-facing or revenue-generating responsibilities, which can support the case that the position qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B standards. Minnesota's university pipeline, particularly from the University of Minnesota, also means employers in the state are accustomed to hiring internationally educated candidates.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored partnerships manager jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
