Which companies sponsor visas for program analysts in Minnesota?
UnitedHealth Group, Optum, Target, Best Buy, and Mayo Clinic are among the most active sponsors of program analyst roles in Minnesota. State agencies and large healthcare systems also hire internationally, particularly for analysts supporting IT systems, operations, and data programs. Checking Department of Labor LCA disclosure data confirms which employers have filed labor condition applications for program analyst positions in the state.
Which visa types are most common for program analyst roles in Minnesota?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program analysts in Minnesota, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, business, or computer science. Some employers also sponsor TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and L-1 visa transfers occur within multinational companies headquartered or with major operations in the Twin Cities.
Which cities in Minnesota have the most program analyst sponsorship jobs?
The Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro accounts for the overwhelming majority of program analyst sponsorship jobs in Minnesota. Minneapolis and Saint Paul themselves host the largest concentration of employers, but suburbs like Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, and Bloomington are significant hubs due to major corporate campuses including Optum and UnitedHealth Group. Rochester is a secondary market, driven by Mayo Clinic's substantial technology and analytical workforce.
How to find program analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Minnesota?
Migrate Mate filters program analyst jobs specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse Minnesota openings without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform aggregates roles from healthcare systems, tech companies, and government contractors across the Twin Cities and Rochester. Filtering by role and state surfaces employers who have an active history of H-1B sponsorship for program analyst positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for program analysts seeking sponsorship in Minnesota?
Minnesota's healthcare and financial services sectors drive strong, consistent demand for program analysts, which means sponsorship activity tends to be more stable here than in states dependent on a single industry. The University of Minnesota also produces a pipeline of OPT candidates that employers are accustomed to working with, meaning many Twin Cities companies have established immigration processes. Prevailing wage requirements are determined by the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area designation for most positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program analyst jobs in Minnesota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
