Which companies sponsor visas for program analysts in Arkansas?
Defense contractors with Arkansas operations, including Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, have histories of sponsoring H-1B visas for program analysts. Walmart's Bentonville headquarters, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and state government IT contractors are also active sponsors. University of Arkansas affiliates and federal agency contractors working out of Little Rock round out the primary sponsoring employer pool for this role.
Which visa types are most common for program analyst roles in Arkansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program analysts in Arkansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, or business analytics. Some analysts enter on OPT extensions tied to STEM degrees before their employers file H-1B petitions. TN visas are available for Canadian and Mexican nationals meeting qualifying criteria.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most program analyst sponsorship jobs?
Little Rock leads in program analyst sponsorship activity, driven by state agency IT projects, federal contractors, and healthcare systems. Bentonville has grown significantly as Walmart's corporate expansion attracts a broad network of technology and analytics vendors. Fayetteville benefits from the University of Arkansas presence and a developing technology sector. Fort Smith and Jonesboro have smaller but active employer bases in manufacturing and healthcare analytics.
How to find program analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to find program analyst roles in Arkansas without sorting through positions that won't consider international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface employers actively sponsoring in Arkansas. This is considerably more efficient than broad job searches that don't surface sponsorship intent.
Are there state-specific considerations for program analysts seeking sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas's program analyst market is shaped by a few dominant industries: defense contracting, retail technology anchored by Walmart, and state government IT modernization. Employers here tend to file fewer H-1B petitions annually than employers in major tech hubs, so competition within the state is lower, but available positions are also fewer. A STEM-designated master's degree from the University of Arkansas can strengthen OPT eligibility and improve H-1B petition timing with Arkansas-based employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program analyst jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
