ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Factory Software team is looking for a Business Analyst to drive the execution and continuous improvement of our digital manufacturing ecosystem. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of software development and factory operations, ensuring that the Product Manager’s vision is successfully translated into technical reality on the factory floor. You will be responsible for managing the technical lifecycle of software features—from refining user stories to overseeing deployment and post-launch support—while ensuring clear communication between our engineering teams and operational stakeholders. By blending technical project management with deep business analysis, you will help build a unified, software-driven manufacturing environment that scales with Form Energy’s growth. Relocation assistance is available.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and engineering teams to refine technical requirements and ensure the product backlog is actionable and well-defined.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of software features, tracking project timelines, technical dependencies, and risks to ensure successful factory-floor deployments.
- Translate high-level functional requirements into detailed technical tasks, including API specifications, data flow diagrams, and system integration maps.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and provide first-tier support for software issues, acting as the primary liaison between factory users and the development team.
- Design and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans to validate that software deliveries align with both technical specifications and operational needs.
- Analyze operational data and system performance metrics (e.g., uptime, throughput) to identify technical bottlenecks and propose software-driven solutions.
- Facilitate regular technical syncs and project reviews, ensuring all cross-functional stakeholders are aligned on progress, trade-offs, and upcoming releases.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system guides and training materials, to support long-term sustainability and user adoption.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 2+ years of experience in technical project management, business analysis, or a related role within a software or manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage technical project lifecycles using tools like Jira to track requirements, sprints, and release milestones.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex architectures, including REST APIs, SQL databases, and system integrations.
- Experience translating high-level business goals into structured technical documentation for engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between technical developers and non-technical factory stakeholders.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset with experience troubleshooting software-hardware interactions in high-pressure environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- A passion for building scalable digital solutions that drive operational excellence and sustainability.

Which companies sponsor visas for program analysts in West Virginia?
Federal contractors operating in West Virginia are the most active sponsors for program analyst roles. Companies like Leidos, SAIC, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Northrop Grumman maintain offices tied to federal agency work in the state. West Virginia University and state government-affiliated organizations also hire program analysts, though sponsorship frequency varies by department and project funding.
Which visa types are most common for program analyst roles in West Virginia?
The H-1B visa is the most common work visa for program analysts in West Virginia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, business administration, or computer science. Some employers with international operations may also use L-1B visas for intracompany transfers into program analyst positions.
Which cities in West Virginia have the most program analyst sponsorship jobs?
Charleston, as the state capital, has the highest concentration of program analyst roles tied to state agencies and federal contractors. Morgantown is a strong secondary market, driven by West Virginia University's research programs and affiliated technology operations. Huntington and Fairmont also see program analyst hiring, particularly from contractors supporting federal facilities in those areas.
How to find program analyst visa sponsorship jobs in West Virginia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters program analyst roles in West Virginia by visa sponsorship availability, saving you the work of screening out employers who don't sponsor. Because federal contractor roles dominate this market in West Virginia, filtering by sponsorship history is especially useful since not all contractors sponsor every position, even within the same organization.
Are there state-specific considerations for program analysts seeking visa sponsorship in West Virginia?
Security clearance eligibility is a practical factor unique to West Virginia's program analyst market, since many roles support federal agencies or defense contractors. Visa holders can apply for and obtain security clearances, but the process can extend timelines. West Virginia University's graduate programs in information systems and public administration also serve as a local talent pipeline, which means competition for sponsored roles can come from OPT and STEM OPT candidates already in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program analyst jobs in West Virginia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
