Which companies in Missouri sponsor visas for executive assistants?
Large employers in Missouri's healthcare and financial services sectors are the most consistent sponsors for executive assistant roles. Organizations like BJC HealthCare, Ascension, Edward Jones, and Centene Corporation have filed H-1B visa petitions for administrative and executive support positions. Enterprise-level companies with global operations tend to have established immigration programs and HR infrastructure to manage sponsorship for these roles.
Which visa types are most common for executive assistant roles in Missouri?
The H-1B is the most common visa category used for executive assistant roles where the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field, such as business administration or communications. USCIS scrutinizes executive assistant petitions carefully, so the employer must demonstrate the role qualifies as a specialty occupation. L-1B and O-1 visas are less common but may apply in specific circumstances depending on the applicant's background and employer type.
How to find executive assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Missouri?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by role and state to see executive assistant positions in Missouri where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor work visas. This is more targeted than a general job search because the listings are pre-filtered for sponsorship. Focusing your search on Kansas City and St. Louis will surface the highest concentration of relevant opportunities in Missouri.
Which cities in Missouri have the most executive assistant sponsorship jobs?
Kansas City and St. Louis account for the large majority of executive assistant sponsorship opportunities in Missouri. St. Louis draws from its base of Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, logistics, and financial services, including Emerson Electric and Mastercard's regional offices. Kansas City's growing technology and healthcare sectors, anchored by employers like Cerner and H&R Block, generate consistent demand for senior administrative professionals.
Are there any Missouri-specific factors that affect executive assistant visa sponsorship?
Missouri does not have state-level visa programs, so federal H-1B rules govern sponsorship. One practical consideration is that executive assistant roles must meet the specialty occupation standard, which means the employer's job description needs to clearly require a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Missouri's lower cost of living compared to coastal markets means prevailing wage requirements are generally more accessible for employers, which can make sponsorship more feasible for mid-sized companies.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored executive assistant jobs in Missouri?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
