Which companies sponsor visas for care assistants in Montana?
The most active sponsors for care assistant roles in Montana tend to be large regional health systems and long-term care operators. Billings Clinic, Benefis Health System in Great Falls, and Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula have histories of filing work authorization petitions for direct care staff. Smaller assisted living facilities and home health agencies occasionally sponsor as well, though less consistently than hospital-affiliated employers.
Which visa types are most common for care assistant roles in Montana?
H-1B visa is rarely used for care assistant roles because most positions do not require a bachelor's degree in a specific specialty field. The EB-3 immigrant visa is the most common pathway, allowing employers to sponsor unskilled and semi-skilled workers through PERM labor certification. Some facilities also use the H-2B visa for temporary or seasonal care needs, though that category comes with annual cap limitations.
How to find care assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Montana?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for this search. You can filter by state and job role to surface care assistant positions in Montana where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Because Montana has fewer total openings than coastal states, checking Migrate Mate regularly and setting up alerts for new Montana care assistant postings gives you the best chance of catching roles before they fill.
Which cities in Montana have the most care assistant sponsorship jobs?
Billings is the largest city and has the highest concentration of care assistant openings, anchored by Billings Clinic and several skilled nursing facilities. Missoula and Great Falls are the next most active markets, supported by Providence St. Patrick Hospital and Benefis Health System respectively. Smaller cities like Bozeman and Helena do have care facilities but generate sponsorship opportunities less frequently.
Are there state-specific considerations for care assistants seeking sponsorship in Montana?
Montana requires care assistants working in certified nursing facilities to complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program and pass a competency evaluation before working independently. International candidates should verify their credentials meet Montana's requirements before or during the sponsorship process. Montana's rural geography also means many sponsoring employers serve frontier communities, which can strengthen an employer's case for foreign worker sponsorship under PERM when local recruitment efforts prove unsuccessful.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored care assistant jobs in Montana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
