Which companies in Nebraska sponsor visas for strategy directors?
Omaha-based employers with established HR and legal infrastructure are the most consistent sponsors for strategy director roles. Union Pacific, Mutual of Omaha, TD Ameritrade (now part of Charles Schwab), and major healthcare systems like CHI Health and Nebraska Medicine have histories of H-1B and other visa filings for senior strategic positions. Larger agricultural technology and financial services firms are also active in this space.
Which visa types are most common for strategy director roles in Nebraska?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy directors in Nebraska, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, economics, or a related specialty field. Senior candidates with multinational employer relationships may also qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Candidates with exceptional achievement in their field sometimes pursue the O-1A, though this requires extensive documentation.
How to find strategy director visa sponsorship jobs in Nebraska?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify strategy director roles in Nebraska without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface relevant openings at Omaha and Lincoln employers across financial services, healthcare, and agricultural technology sectors. Migrate Mate also provides context on which employers have a track record of sponsoring senior-level roles.
Which cities in Nebraska have the most strategy director sponsorship jobs?
Omaha is by far the primary market for strategy director roles with visa sponsorship in Nebraska. It hosts the headquarters of several Fortune 500 and large regional companies across insurance, finance, transportation, and healthcare. Lincoln is a secondary market, with sponsorship activity driven largely by state government-adjacent organizations, the University of Nebraska system, and a smaller but growing technology sector.
What state-specific factors should strategy directors know about Nebraska sponsorship?
Nebraska does not have a state income tax on wages at the corporate level that would deter sponsorship, but employers must still meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Lincoln and Omaha metropolitan statistical areas when filing a Labor Condition Application. The University of Nebraska system is also a notable pipeline, as it occasionally sponsors international candidates for strategy and planning roles and is cap-exempt for H-1B purposes, which can simplify and accelerate the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy director jobs in Nebraska?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
