Job Overview
The VP of Data & Analytics is the senior leader responsible for AGS's entire data strategy, data platform, and analytical capabilities. This role is responsible for end-to-end data ownership across game development analytics (game performance, player telemetry) and internal business functions (FP&A, operations reporting, commercial analytics). The VP of Data & Analytics will also ensure the same metrics and reporting is used across different functions and is a critical enabler of the agentic AI program, as every AI initiative depends on the clean, reliable data infrastructure this role builds and governs.
Responsibilities
- Own AGS's data strategy end-to-end — data sourcing, data platform architecture, data products, data governance, and data quality across all functions
- Own the data warehouse architecture — OneLake/Microsoft Fabric implementation, ingestion pipelines from ERP, CRM, game cabinets, and iGaming platforms
- Bridge game development and internal functions — ensure game analytics (telemetry, performance data, player behavior) and internal analytics (FP&A, ops, sales reporting) are served by a unified data platform
- Define and enforce data governance standards — data ownership, data classification, data quality SLAs, lineage documentation, and access controls
- Build data products — operator-facing performance dashboards, executive scorecards, game analytics products that serve game designers and commercial teams
- Drive the telemetry strategy — ensure cabinet telemetry data flows from AGS's deployed fleet into the data platform to enable predictive maintenance and yield management
- Support the agentic AI program — ensure data infrastructure is sequenced and delivered to unblock ML model development and AI agent deployment
- Manage vendor relationships — Microsoft Fabric, data tooling providers, and analytics platform vendors
- Establish data literacy across the organization — training and enabling business users to access and use data through self-serve analytics tools like PowerBI
Skills/Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive data and analytics leadership, with at least 3 years in a VP, Senior Director, or Head of Data role
- Proven data platform build experience — has built or significantly transformed a data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse from the ground up at a company of comparable scale
- Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Stack expertise preferred — familiarity with OneLake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Power BI
- Strong data engineering foundations — deep enough technical understanding to review architecture decisions, evaluate engineering quality, and hire and develop data engineers
- Data governance expertise — experience implementing MDM, data cataloging (Purview, Collibra, or equivalent), and data quality frameworks
- Cross-functional stakeholder management — has served both technical teams (game developers, ML engineers) and business stakeholders (CFO, VP Sales) with data products
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
Preferred
- Gaming or B2B manufacturing industry experience
- Familiarity with SAS protocol and casino management system data structures
- Experience with game telemetry, IoT data, or distributed asset data strongly preferred — understanding of event-based data at scale
Note: All offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check

Which companies sponsor visas for analytics engineers in Nevada?
Las Vegas-based gaming and hospitality corporations are among the most active sponsors for analytics engineers in Nevada. MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts have all filed H-1B petitions for data roles. Beyond gaming, fintech companies and technology vendors headquartered in the Las Vegas metro also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as H-1B sponsors for analytics and data engineering positions.
Which visa types are most common for analytics engineer roles in Nevada?
The H-1B is the most common visa for analytics engineers in Nevada, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status under the NAFTA-successor USMCA, as computer systems analysts and engineers are listed occupations. Australians holding an E-3 visa are another option when sponsored by a qualifying Nevada employer.
Which cities in Nevada have the most analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas and the broader Clark County metro account for the large majority of analytics engineer positions in Nevada, driven by the gaming industry's heavy investment in data infrastructure, customer analytics, and real-time reporting systems. Reno is a secondary market with growing activity tied to its expanding technology and logistics sector, including companies with operations near the Tesla Gigafactory corridor.
How to find analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse analytics engineer openings in Nevada without sifting through roles that don't sponsor. The platform covers employers across the Las Vegas and Reno metros, including gaming, fintech, and tech companies that have a track record of filing H-1B petitions for data roles. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to surface relevant, sponsorship-confirmed listings.
Are there any Nevada-specific considerations for analytics engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Nevada's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B positions are set at the county level using Department of Labor data, so wages for analytics engineers in Clark County around Las Vegas differ from those in Washoe County around Reno. The gaming industry's regulatory environment also means employers conduct thorough background checks, which can extend onboarding timelines. University of Nevada Las Vegas and University of Nevada Reno produce local talent pipelines, but neither diminishes employer willingness to sponsor international candidates with specialized skills.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored analytics engineer jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
