Which hospitality companies sponsor H-2B visas in Nevada?
Nevada's largest H-2B visa sponsors in hospitality are concentrated in the casino-resort segment. MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts have appeared in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data as H-2B petitioners. Ski and outdoor recreation operators around Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada also file H-2B petitions seasonally. Sponsorship activity is not evenly distributed, and individual properties within larger resort groups file separately.
Which cities in Nevada have the most hospitality H-2B sponsorship jobs?
Las Vegas accounts for the overwhelming majority of Nevada's hospitality H-2B positions, given the density of large-scale casino resorts, convention hotels, and entertainment venues on and off the Strip. Reno and Sparks have a smaller but consistent hospitality H-2B market tied to their casino and convention hotel sector. Stateline and the Lake Tahoe area generate seasonal H-2B demand from ski resorts and summer recreation properties.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for H-2B sponsorship in Nevada?
H-2B hospitality roles in Nevada are predominantly non-agricultural, temporary service positions. Common qualifying job titles include housekeeping attendants, food and beverage servers, banquet setup workers, pool and recreation attendants, and front-of-house support staff. These roles qualify because employers can demonstrate the need is tied to a peak season or a one-time event, and that qualified U.S. workers are not available in sufficient numbers to fill the openings.
How do I find hospitality H-2B sponsorship jobs in Nevada?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking U.S. visa sponsorship, including H-2B positions in Nevada's hospitality sector. You can filter by visa type and state to surface active H-2B openings at Nevada resorts, hotels, and seasonal properties. Because H-2B hiring operates on fixed petition windows tied to seasonal demand, checking Migrate Mate regularly during the filing periods from October through March gives you the best chance of finding open roles.
Are there any Nevada-specific considerations for H-2B hospitality sponsorship?
Nevada's hospitality labor market is heavily event-driven, with Super Bowl weekends, major boxing and UFC events, and New Year's Eve creating concentrated peak-demand periods that employers cite when justifying H-2B need. Because Nevada has no state income tax, workers can retain more of their earnings compared to many other states. Employers in Nevada must still comply with all federal H-2B requirements, including Department of Labor certification and USCIS approval, before workers can begin employment.
What is the prevailing wage for H-2B hospitality jobs in Nevada?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
