Which hospitality companies sponsor H-2B visas in Arizona?
Large resort and hotel groups are the most active H-2B sponsors in Arizona's hospitality sector. Properties operating under Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, and Loews have filed H-2B Labor Condition Applications in the state, particularly for their Scottsdale and Phoenix-area resorts. Golf and spa resorts with strong seasonal demand, such as those along the Scottsdale corridor, also appear regularly in Department of Labor H-2B disclosure data.
Which cities in Arizona have the most hospitality H-2B sponsorship jobs?
Scottsdale accounts for a significant share of Arizona's hospitality H-2B activity, driven by its concentration of luxury resorts and golf properties. Phoenix and Tempe follow closely, with large convention hotels requiring seasonal staffing support. Sedona also generates H-2B demand from boutique resorts and eco-tourism properties during peak visitor seasons in spring and fall.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for H-2B sponsorship in Arizona?
H-2B sponsorship in Arizona's hospitality sector most commonly covers housekeeping attendants, food and beverage servers, front desk agents, groundskeeping staff, and golf course maintenance workers. These are non-agricultural, non-specialty-occupation roles that employers can demonstrate are temporary or seasonal in nature, which is the core eligibility requirement for H-2B classification under Department of Labor guidelines.
How do I find hospitality H-2B sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international workers seeking visa-sponsored roles in the United States, including hospitality H-2B jobs in Arizona. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface Arizona employers who have a documented history of H-2B sponsorship in hospitality. Searching through Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to manually reviewing Department of Labor disclosure data.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for hospitality H-2B sponsorship?
Arizona operates two distinct peak hospitality seasons: a winter season roughly from November through April, when snowbirds and tourists drive high resort occupancy, and a summer season at higher-elevation properties near Flagstaff and the White Mountains. Employers must demonstrate temporary need tied to these seasonal patterns when filing H-2B petitions. Workers should confirm the petition covers their specific work period, as H-2B status is tied to the approved employment dates and employer.
What is the prevailing wage for H-2B hospitality jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
