Which hospitality companies sponsor H-2B visas in Utah?
Utah's largest H-2B visa hospitality sponsors are concentrated in the ski and national park tourism corridors. Resorts including Deer Valley Resort, Snowbird, and Park City Mountain have historically filed H-2B petitions for seasonal resort staff. Lodge and hotel operators near Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Moab also appear regularly in Department of Labor disclosure data as H-2B sponsors for housekeeping, food service, and grounds roles.
Which cities in Utah have the most hospitality H-2B sponsorship jobs?
Park City and the surrounding Wasatch Back area generate the highest concentration of H-2B hospitality filings in Utah, driven by its ski resort cluster. Moab sees strong summer demand tied to Arches and Canyonlands tourism. St. George benefits from year-round warm weather and proximity to Zion National Park. Salt Lake City's hotel corridor near the airport and downtown convention center also produces consistent seasonal staffing demand.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for H-2B sponsorship in Utah?
H-2B sponsorship in Utah's hospitality sector most commonly covers housekeepers, room attendants, dishwashers, line cooks, servers, front desk agents, lift operators, ski patrol support staff, and landscaping or grounds crew at resort properties. These roles qualify because they are seasonal, temporary positions tied to defined peak periods, and employers must demonstrate they cannot fill them with available U.S. workers during those windows.
How do I find hospitality H-2B sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate lists H-2B hospitality jobs in Utah filtered by visa type and industry, so you can search specifically for Utah resort, hotel, and food service roles that are actively seeking H-2B workers. Because H-2B hiring follows strict seasonal timelines, checking Migrate Mate early, before peak filing periods in winter and summer, gives you the best chance of connecting with employers who still have open petitions.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for H-2B hospitality sponsorship?
Utah's H-2B hospitality market is shaped by two hard seasonal windows: the ski season (roughly November through March) and the national park summer season (May through September). Employers must file H-2B petitions well ahead of these windows, and the federal cap often fills early. Workers should be aware that H-2B status in Utah is tied to a specific employer and location, so transferring between resort properties or cities requires coordination with both employers.
What is the prevailing wage for H-2B hospitality jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
