Which food and beverage companies sponsor H-2B visas in Arizona?
Large food service management companies with Arizona operations, including Aramark and Sodexo, are among the more consistent H-2B visa filers in the state, typically supporting resort, stadium, and institutional dining contracts. Smaller regional operators running catering services at golf tournaments and seasonal events in the Scottsdale and Phoenix areas also appear in Department of Labor Labor Condition Application disclosure data from time to time.
Which cities in Arizona have the most food and beverage H-2B sponsorship jobs?
Scottsdale and the Greater Phoenix metro account for the largest share of food and beverage H-2B activity in Arizona, driven by year-round resort hospitality, major sporting events, and a dense concentration of hotel food service operations. Sedona sees seasonal demand tied to its tourism economy, while Tucson has a smaller but consistent base of food service contracts connected to university events and convention business.
What types of food and beverage roles typically qualify for H-2B sponsorship?
H-2B sponsorship in food and beverage is most common for roles that are demonstrably temporary or seasonal in nature. Cooks, food preparation workers, banquet servers, catering attendants, and dishwashers at resort and event venues are frequently included in H-2B petitions. The employer must show that the need for workers is tied to a specific season, peak event period, or one-time occurrence rather than a permanent ongoing staffing requirement.
How do I find food and beverage H-2B sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate lets you filter job listings specifically by visa type and industry, making it straightforward to identify food and beverage employers in Arizona who have active H-2B sponsorship history. Because H-2B petitions are filed with the Department of Labor before hiring begins, searching on Migrate Mate gives you visibility into which Arizona employers have gone through that process rather than relying on unverified job postings.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for food and beverage H-2B sponsorship?
Arizona's extreme summer heat suppresses outdoor dining and event activity from June through August, which means many food and beverage H-2B petitions are structured around the cooler tourist season running roughly October through May. Employers filing for this window must document the seasonal nature of their need to USCIS and the Department of Labor. Workers should also be aware that Arizona does not have its own state-level work authorization program; federal H-2B rules apply uniformly.
What is the prevailing wage for H-2B food & beverage jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
